🚑 1. Tiger Woods has his 7th back surgery.

Tiger’s back in the med bay again. He underwent a lumbar disc replacement surgery after suffering a collapsed disc, disc fragments, and a narrowed spinal canal.

This is now his seventh major back/related surgery (not that we’re counting). At 49, with a laundry list of injuries already behind him, the big question is: Can he come back? Or is this the beginning of the end for the competitive Tiger?

🏴‍☠️ 2. Robert MacIntyre rides the Ryder Cup high into a Dunhill Links win

Fresh off a rollicking Ryder Cup week, Robert MacIntyre just f***ing owned the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. He beat the field by four shots (in what was shortened to 54 holes thanks to the weather) to become the first Scot to win since 2005.

What’s extra juicy: he stuck with a gear setup that’s largely unchanged, even pulling out a 10-year-old TaylorMade 3-wood. That’s swagger. That’s loyalty. That’s Spike energy.

💰 3. Luton Hoo begins a £170M makeover — aiming to be “Augusta of Europe”

Big money alert. Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa (in Bedfordshire) has shut down to start a £170 million redevelopment, all in service of becoming a Ryder Cup venue, possibly for 2035.

They’ve drafted in Justin Rose, Gary Player, and European Golf Design. Ambitious doesn’t even cover it — this could be the course that changes the map of European golf.

😤 4. Rory McIlroy’s rage, abuse & a possible PGA Tour pivot

After enduring heckling, verbal abuse, and even a beer thrown at his wife Erica at Bethpage during the Ryder Cup, Rory’s reportedly “angry and hurt” — and rethinking his PGA Tour schedule.

He’s also moved closer to home, fixing up a London mansion and eyeing a more European schedule.

🏆 5. Scheffler’s Open win keeps echoing — Tiger comparisons fly again

Scottie Scheffler’s Open victory is still sparking debate — and people are already comparing him to Tiger (yes, really).

Meanwhile, the PGA Tour’s leadership drama continues, with merger talks, power plays, and players wondering who’s really calling the shots.

It’s golf’s version of Succession.

🌪️ 6. Storm Amy wrecks Dunhill Links — Weather gods 1, golfers 0

Just when things were heating up, the weather decided to ruin everyone’s weekend. 60 mph winds forced officials to chop the Alfred Dunhill Links to 54 holes.

Links golf, man. It’s beauty and brutality rolled into one. Sometimes Mother Nature just decides she’s taking your round — and your scorecard — with her.

SWITCH TO BAMBOO GOLF TEES

Help us bring Death to Plastic Golf Tees

Our mission is to bring an end to plastic golf tees and convert all golfers to biodegradable bamboo golf tees.

Bamboo golf tees are over 4x stronger than regular wooden golf tees, and will naturally break down in as little as 4 months. Plastic golf tees can take up to 1000 years.

If regular golf tees are your thing, we have 3 sizes; 70mm pink bamboo golf tees for drivers, 54mm yellow golf tees for lower drivers and hybrids, and 32mm blue bamboo golf tees for irons and hybrids.

We also have a range of 5 sizes of bamboo castle golf tees; 70mm orange castle golf tees, 59mm pink castle golf tees, 39mm blue castle golf tees, 32mm red castle golf tees, and 25mm green castle golf tees.

All of our golf tees are available as a mixed box or as individual sizes, and we also offer a golf tee subscription. Simply choose the amount and choose how regularly you want deliveries, and we'll take care of the rest.
